Biography

Dr. Sk. Tawfique M. Haque is a Professor of Public Policy and Governance and Director of the South Asian Institute of Policy and Governance (SIPG) at North South University (NSU). Professor Haque’s area of research interest covers: migration, Rohingya crisis, organisational culture, local governance, globalisation, international trade regime, development management, geopolitics, and climate change. He has published seven books, and fourteen book chapters from reputed international publishing houses such as Springer, Routledge, Ashgate, Palgrave Macmillan, and several scientific research papers in national and international indexed journals. His latest book titled “The Displaced Rohingyas: A Tale of a Vulnerable Community” has been published by Routledge in 2024. Professor Haque has twenty-five years of wide-ranging experience in managing developmental, educational, and research projects in partnership with Asian, European, and American universities and research organisations as well as multilateral development agencies.
